ERIC STENDER, ACC | Originally from Oak Lawn, IL, Eric Stender is a 2001 graduate of CBC/Evangel University. He is a husband, dad, pastor, and coach with experience that spans over 20 years in Illinois. Since 2018, he has developed a coaching approach focused on leaders desiring to make cross-cultural connections, an area that is both enriching and challenging. After receiving his ACC through ICF, he launched Leaning Forward Life Coaching in 2022 with the emphasis of promoting an intentional and authentic life-posture of leaning forward. He coaches leaders to make cross-cultural connections by supporting them as they lean forward in their life and leadership with clarity, confidence, and consistency. Adjusting to cultural values is a key tension point when working with international clients and multi-cultural teams. Using a cultural values self-assessment as a roadmap for coaching sessions, Eric leans forward with clients to explore their own cultural values compared to their client’s target cultural values. He coaches clients towards the awareness, discovery, and relevant action needed to make a long-term impact through the challenging terrain of making long-term cross-cultural connections.
