Carol McLysaght | With over 15 years of experience as an HR / OD executive, and four years as Chief of Staff to the CEO of a Fortune 500 multinational company, Carol brings a unique depth of expertise and perspective to her coaching and consulting. From roles on strategy, acquisition, and global initiative teams, she possesses broad business intelligence and insight into the complexities of individuals and their organizational cultures. Carol has hand-on experience in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, consumer goods, high tech and consulting, which allow her to truly understand her clients and make an impact. Working as a C-suite and executive pipeline coach since 2010, Carol has helped clients discover and grow into their leadership potential, transform their performance and increase their impact. As a facilitator, she creates an environment of trust and healthy debate to open participants’ minds, challenge the status quo and generate insights and innovations that drive people and organizations forward. There are both barriers and opportunities on the path to success; Carol works with leaders and their teams to effectively address the former and ethically exploit the latter. Prior to founding McLysaght Consulting, Carol served as the Chief of Staff at the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company, sitting on the Strategic Business Planning committee, serving on global acquisition and due diligence teams, and providing coaching to a number of executives in the organization. She also served as the primary speech writer and internal communications strategist for the CEO, where she played the lead role in developing messaging and fine-tuning delivery for greater impact. After four years in that position, she brought her business intelligence and organizational insights back to Human Resources as the head of Wrigley’s Leadership Development function. In that capacity, she led executive succession planning, overhauled the company’s primary top talent leadership program, designed innovative development programs for senior leaders, and refined the executive coaching strategy. Recognized for success early in her career, Carol became the only Mentor under 40 to serve on the Executives’ Club of Chicago New Leaders Group (2008 through 2012). Carol is a member of the International Coach Federation and a Certified Coach Graduate of an ICF-accredited executive and leadership coaching program. She is certified in The Leadership Circle 360 tools and Collective Leadership System, MBTI, Firo-B, and Lominger Voices 360. In addition to coaching and consulting, Carol has been a featured speaker at business and industry conferences hosted by organizations such as Deloitte, Challenger Gray & Christmas, the Executives’ Club of Chicago, and Reckitt Benckiser/Mead Johnson Nutrition. Carol received her Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Communications and attended Loyola University of Chicago for graduate studies in Human Resources & Organizational Development. |
